Chapter 2
The girls getting abducted re-enforced my resolve to get elected mayor. Someone had to do something about this threat to our children and by all that is holy, if no-one else will stand up to be counted, I will. I was incensed. Just who did these Aliens think they were that they could come swooping down into our neighborhoods and steal our children? Granted, the scholarships they won for being abducted will help defray their college costs but that is little compensation for the pain and suffering experienced by the parents of these teen abductees.
I started to tell Daniel what I was thinking when he thought the moment appropriate to put the moves on me. My blood was already hot so when he grabbed my ass it did not take much for him to lay me down right next to the mailbox and have his way with me. Thank the stars it was late, I don't think anyone saw us, if they did I could kiss the election goodbye. That was the furthest thing from my mind though as he slowly entered me.
As we finished, I looked at the time and realized that if I was going to get to party headquarters on time in the morning to monitor the election returns, I had to go to sleep now. With a kiss to my husband, I told him to go out and get a drink, I needed my sleep and walked in to the house, and my waiting bed. The girls had already turned in, they had work tomorrow, I am so proud of them taking the military jobs I could just burst. Angela going out shopping with her father in the morning was also enough to make me happy that my children were growing up so well.
The dawn came and as I got up I noticed Daniel had already left with Angela, strange, they must have decided to stop for breakfast first before going shopping as the stores could not be open yet. No matter, I stifled my excitement over the coming day as I dressed myself. Unfortunately the stomach bug was still with me, but this time I decided to leave the mess for the maid, she needed something to clean today.
Hollering to Lilith to have a good day, I left for headquarters. The day was long, but ever so slowly the results started to trickle in. The count teetered back and forth, I would no sooner gain a lead only to see it dwindle away as another precinct reported. Finally, sometime after midnight, the results were final. Though it was a close election, and there was talk of a recount, I had won. Daniel called to congratulate me, and told me the girls, who I could hear cheering in the background, had both gotten promotions, and with them, scholarships. I was elated, surely no woman had ever had a more perfect day. I told Daniel that I would be home as soon as I could, but that I needed to spend some time celebrating with the campaign staff. He told me not to worry and rang off.
It was sometime after 7am by the time I got home, I was happy to see the lights on, Daniel had waited up for me, all night. What a guy, I couldn't wait to share my excitement with him. As soon as I walked in the door though, my priorities rapidly changed as I...
discovered I was with child. Daniel was elated and immediately began rubbing my belly and then gave me a passionate kiss. This changed things. I was still the Mayor, and I had a job to do, many things to take care of. I also have a duty to my unborn child, it will not be easy but I will have to learn how to balance the two. For now though I needed rest. As I got into bed, I asked Daniel to join me. Yes I was tired but I also felt the need to celebrate a bit and yes, to re-affirm the love that we shared. My husband of these many years chose this minute to again surprise me. He made love with me, not to, showing a tenderness and passion I had not seen in him these last few years. It was with a satisfied and fulfilled smile that I rolled over and went to sleep as we finished.
